7 TIPS FOR HAIR CARE THIS SUMMER: The sun is a great source

The sun is a great source of energy and an exquisite bath of vitamins D and E, although it is beneficial we must protect our body from the aggressions of solar radiation to spend a summer without problems.

We must take into account that the hair is dried not only by the hot summer sun, but also by the salt of sea water, and if it is in the pools by the chlorine used to treat them, so it is important to maintain an exhaustive routine of hair protection.

1-BEFORE THE SUMMER

Before the holidays do not do hair treatments, or cut it unless you are thinking of a drastic cut. Leave the cut for after the summer, the hair exhausted by the weather will thank you and you will receive with the cut as a revitalization.

As in the skin, the best prevention is to cover the area with a physical barrier to prevent the sun from affecting the person. This advice is even more important if you have dyed hair and if exposure to the sun is in the central hours of the day, between 12 and 16 hours.

4-WET HAIR BEFORE AND AFTER POOL / SEA

As the hair is porous and absorbs water, if it is already wet before coming in contact with salt or chlorine, its power of penetration is less. This favors less contact with irritating agents. It is advisable that when leaving the pool or the sea we rinse the hair with water to remove the salt or chlorine remains. Then brush it with a comb with broad tips. You can choose our  comb.

In the pool you can also use the swimming caps that protect the hair from the damage that the chlorine causes them.

5-COSMETICS FOR THE SOLAR PROTECTION OF THE HAIR

There is a range of cosmetics specially adapted for the summer and that will help our hair to tolerate UV rays better.

From spray, oils that have a high hydration power and penetration to shampoo sunscreen that can be used for daily cleaning of the hair after exposure to the sea and the sun.

When laying out apply a good conditioner with sunscreens in it. The heat from the sun will help the action of the conditioner and the sunscreens will block out the UV rays which cause hair damage.

6-SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER AND MASK FOR THE SUMMER

It is advisable to change the shampoo and the traditional conditioner that you use in other seasons of the year and to use options that promote a deep cleaning in the hair, to avoid the heat and the humidity of the summer damage it.

Another mission this time of year is to hydrate the hair. If it is hydrated, it can face with more force the external aggressions to which it is going to be submitted in summer. It is advisable to use masks that nourish the hair or repair keratin, such as our  mask.

7-HOLIDAYS FOR YOUR HAIR

This summer give your hair a break: every time you wash it with shampoo and conditioner, let it dry naturally. The dryer involves a direct thermal attack on our hair, causing it to become more brittle and increasing the chance of it falling.

Exposure to sun, chlorine in swimming pools or sea salt already weaken hair. If we add other factors, we can hurt it deeply.

Also try to avoid the ironing boards and the curling machine.
