12 TIPS TO REMOVE FOOD ODORS FROM YOUR HAIR (PART I)

PURE KERATIN on 4th Dec 2019

Every day you wake up in the morning, bathe and when you get out of the shower your hair has a very rich smell, which of course you love.

A good scent of hair can have the power to make people more attractive. But you should know that it is also the part of the body that is more impregnated in terms of smell.

The truth is that it is difficult to keep the hair smelling so good all the time. During the day the nice aroma is lost, because your hair is exposed to dust and pollutants from the environment. The smells that reign in the streets, the tobacco smoke, the smell of food and the sweat itself affect that good presence and appearance.

For example, in the case of cigarettes; you must know that all the toxic substances these contain - in addition to affecting the aging of the skin - affect externally the condition of your hair. It can loose its natural vitality, cause dryness, lack of shine and even affecting its growth.

That is why we have prepared a list of tips to use every time your hair smells not so good.

1) CITRICS

Lemon is an excellent fruit to neutralize odors and completely clean your hair.

There are good homemade solutions that are efficient, such as applying lemon juice on the hair after washing. Once you have washed your hair with shampoo, apply a cup of lemon evenly throughout the hair, let stand a few minutes and rinse with warm water. You can also mix a part of lemon juice with five parts of water, place the liquid in a clean atomizer and spray your hair. This will help neutralize the smell, and you can do it either in a hurry, without rinsing, or before washing your hair for better results.

Remember that when you wash your hair you can use a fresh and nutritious based on citrus fruits shampoo. After you have washed, remember to apply a mask to complete the treatment process.

2) SALT AND FLOUR

This is a quick solution: you should mix a heaped spoonful of salt with a small glass of cornmeal. Once they are combined, you should pour the mixture into one of those dusting cans (with small holes at the top). Then you will have to add it over the root zone in your hair. Once the hair is well sprayed, you will comb it as usual.

3) TALCO

If you don't have cornmeal, then nothing like talcum powder. Eliminates the smell of tobacco from the hair while also adding a cleaner finish.

Spray some talcum powder on your hair and then brush it. Do it in moderation so that it can be easily blurred and not noticed. This also works for very oily hair and any other type of smell that has been trapped there for some reason.

Then you will have to comb well or do a light massage with your hands to remove the white color of them. That is why when we need a quick solution to oily and smelly hair, this will be the best. Of course, nothing will take away that time later we have to give it a good wash.

4) SODIUM BICARBONATE

Baking soda is also an excellent ingredient to absorb and eliminate bad odors. To use it, just add a small spoon of baking soda with your usual shampoo and wash your hair with the mixture. The result is spectacular and the smell of tobacco and food will disappear completely from your hair.

5) APPLE VINEGAR

You can use this type of vinegar to rinse your hair, mixing half a lid in plenty of water. This will be enough to eliminate unwanted aromas, although you should refrain from applying this technique if your hair is dyed because it could remove the dye. It will not leave any residual smell, and it will help to make your hair brighter.

6) BAR SHAMPOO
