Keratin Treatment: How to Do It Yourself

Equipment Required

Step 1 – Purify

Wash your hair twice with the PURE KERATIN Purifying Shampoo (included) to remove product buildup and prepare your hair for treatment.

Step 2 – Dry

Blow-dry your hair completely. It must be 100% dry before applying the treatment.

Step 3 – Apply

Divide your hair into four sections. Wearing gloves, apply 2–3 fl. oz. of PURE KERATIN Professional Treatment evenly to each section. Use a wide-tooth comb to distribute the product from root to tip.

Step 4 – Process

Cover your head with a plastic cap (included) and allow the treatment to sit:

• Fine hair: 20 minutes
• Thick or curly hair: 30 minutes

Comb through every 10 minutes for even absorption.

Step 5 – Seal

Blow-dry completely, then flat iron in small sections (½ inch) 7–10 times to seal the keratin deep into the cuticle:

• Fine hair: 300–400°F
• Thicker hair: 400–450°F
